News & Notes - APTC

This Spring has been filled with doom and gloom, from lower than normal temperatures to abundant amounts of snow and a dismal economy, leaving many people feeling, well, kind of depressed. I decided to boycott the recession. That's right; I'm not going to participate! Negativity never breeds success and "recession" is just another word for drama.
Instead, my strategy is to get a kind of "networking religion." Having been through two recessionary periods in my tenure here at the Akron Polymer Training Center, I don't need a crystal ball; I have history to look back upon. Here is what my history tells me: People with strong networks and training strategies will survive and even thrive during economic downturns.
I'll be attending the Society for Plastics Engineers, GPEC Conference next week in Florida and you better believe I'll be a networking fiend. So, if you're at this meeting and you see a middle-aged woman tackling people and forcing business cards upon them; please introduce yourself. We can network!

Much like networking, training pays for itself. I hope to see you soon.
